Day 1: Dushanbe
Today you will be met by your driver at the airport and transfer to Dushanbe. The gull day is dedicated to a guided city tour. You will explore today Rudake Park, National library, White House, National state seal, and House of parliament. Then you will meander in National park to make photos of Ministry of Inner Affairs and the biggest National Flag in the world - 165 m high pole, 30 m wide, 60 m long. After you will fascinate Central Museum and discover Gurminj Museum of traditional musical instruments. This day you will also explore Asian bazar. The Bazaar sells fresh food and delicious tortillas, fruits and vegetables, as well as spices. You will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 2: Dushanbe - Khoburubot - Kalai Khum
After breakfast you will transfer to Kalai Khum village via mountain road. This day you are going to drive over high Khoburubot Pass (3 252) known as Western Pamir Tract. You will be able to have a great time and enjoy the environment, where you will see incredible beautiful mountains and rivers. Don't miss a chance to take photos. Along the way you will visit locals and discover the small villages. Tajiks are a kind people who can welcome any traveler. They respect their customs and traditions, history and culture, as well as all the peoples of Central Asia, and treat their elders with respect. This night will be spent in the home stay.
Day 3: Kalai Khum - Khorog
This day you will transfer to Khorog. Khorog is a city in the Gorn - Badakhshan Autonomous region of Tajikistan, located on the border with Afghanistan, at the confluence of the Gunt river with the Panj river. The city is located in a mountain gorge at an altitude of 2200 meters above sea level. Due to the fact that Khorog is surrounded by rocks on all sides, the climate is mild, summers are not hot and winters are not frosty. This day you will have a chance to meet local inhabitants. Some features of the Pamiri people are different from Tajiks, the Pamiris blue eyes, light skin. They also differ in language and traditions. Pamir people, lost in the mountains of auls that have preserved ancient traditions and language in isolation from modern civilization. You will rest the night in guesthouse.
Day 4: Khorog - Yashil Kul Lake - Bulunkul Lake
This day you will departure to the most charmiong lakes of the Pamirs are Yashil Kul and Bulunkul (Blue lakes). Yashilkul Lake a fairly large lake located at the foot of the North Alichursky ridge. It is from this lake that the Gunt river flows, along which part of the Pamir highway runs towards Khorog. Lake Bulunkul is much smaller than Yashilkul and is connected to it by a narrow channel. The water in Bulunkul is fresh, there are many aquatic plants, and you can often see ducks and geese swimming on the surface of the lake. You will also see the yaks on the way species of domestic animals. Along the way you will drive over fabulous Koitezak pass (4 271 m). This night will be in the homestay.
Day 5: Bulunkul - Khorog
After breakfast you will departure to Khorog along Pamir Highway that is also called M41 Pamir Tract. The most picturesque high-mountain highway; passes through the deserted Pamir highlands, overcoming passes with a height of more than 4000 m. This place is rich in flora and fauna which is home to incredible species of animals: wild mammals are Turkestan rat, tiger-cat, grizzly bear, badger, stoat, fox, grey and red wolves. The Pamirs are also home to snow leopards, which are in danger and on the verge of extinction, as well as the Marco Polo sheep, which has the characteristics of a sheep, but is larger in size. You will rest the night in the guesthouse.
Day 6: Khorog - Kalai Khum
Today you will direct from Khorog to Kalai Khum the same as you had before. Passing through the Pamirs, travelers have the opportunity to explore the beauty of the mountains, see the amazing nature, and think about the history of the creation of the world in this region. You can learn a lot about Tajik customs and traditions. En route you will break in local villages and get acquainted with local residents and discover their way of life. The amazing beauty of the Pamir mountains will delight you. Today you will observe human settlements that are located on both sides of the river in narrow mountain valleys. This day you will also see Afghan stony villages and gardens. You will spend the night in home stay.
Day 7: Kalai Khum - Norak - Dushanbe
This day you will transfer to Dushanbe. Today you will complete your driving along along Afghanistan border. This day you will drive over high pass Shuraba pass (2 267 m). You will fascinate today the incredible mountains that are Territory of Pamir Mountains. The centuries-old history tells that for a long time the Pamir mountains attracted a lot of attention for their unique beauty and captivated with its charm such discoverers as Marco Polo, Hsuan Tsang, Mirza Muhammad Haidar. Tourists who visited the Pamir mountains called them the ocean of white and blue mountains. You will observe today Norak water reservoir that is called Tajik Sea. The overnight is in the hotel.
